Nsenene are locust like creatures (grasshoppers really) that appear during the rainy season in early November. Strong white light is placed between reflective iron sheets to attract them. When the grasshoppers fly against the slippery surface of the iron sheet, they tragically slide into a drum that has been positioned to capture them. I have been told that they are delicious when they are fried or grilled. Even though their green color could allow you to mistake them for vegetables, there is just no way I could venture a taste test.
