This is the taxi park I traverse on my commute back to Munyonyo everyday. It’s a sea of taxis, or Matatu’s as they call them here. There does not appear to be anybody in charge of safely moving the vehicles out of the park and into the street. Vehicles just shoot out when they are loaded up to capacity. In the midst of this chaos there is a tremendous amount of commerce going on. Overlooking the sea of taxis sometimes reminds me of the movie Labyrinth. I know that in there somewhere my Munyonyo Salama carriage is waiting for me.
